So over the next couple of days I plan to be both really lazy and really productive.

How is this possible? Simples. Today I’m lazy, tomorrow I’ll be productive.

Today, I’m gonna surf the internet, catch up on tv, podcasts, music and everything else I enjoy doing when I don’t want to do anything.

Then tomorrow, I’m going to do everything I intend. Update here, maybe change themes, do some writing (blogs, etc…), then maybe work on one of my many *secret* projects.

First though, I think it’s time for another C&C ;)

I was watching CNN last night as the ‘Tsunami’ was due to hit Hawaii.

As well as watching mediocre waves for a good 20 minutes, they had a guy (I say a guy as he wasn’t a reporter!) reading from twitter and blogs.

That’s right - CNN were ‘reporting’ what other people were reporting…

iPad & Me.

So, here’s my dilemma…

Before Christmas I was putting each and every pound coin I had into a jar, saving for a PS3 which I then received as a Christmas gift.

I decided to keep going with my ‘pound jar’ and so far have collected £159 and I’m still going strong. In April, I’m off to The Gadget Show Live and was thinking to put this cash towards a gadget of my liking when I get to the show… I’ve also got a £50 gift card for Apple which is burning a hole in my wallet.

I’ve come to the following conclusion… I’m going to keep saving my pounds and see how much I have by April… Then if I don’t see anything that I want or more importantly need I’m going to do something a bit crazy… I’m gonna get an iPad.

I reckon by the time April comes, the amount of iPad-Specific apps will have increased significantly and I’ll get some good use out of the device. I consider myself an early adapter of new technology and although right now I don’t have a need for it… I certainly want it.

Apple Media Event - 27/01

So the rumours have been flooding the interweb thick and fast. There are more names for this new device than there are people at the event!

First off, the iPhone.

We all know the iPhone’s popular and today we’ll hear it all again. Sales increased by 100%, etc… Now for the main stuff… iPhone 4.0.

My prediction - Software will be announced or at the very least previewed; This will give developers time to create new singing and dancing apps for the new software.

Hardware probably won’t get a mention (I’d like to be suprised though) as the 4.0 won’t be out for a good few months.

Now… This tablet thingy-ma-jiggy… What’s that all about?!

iTab, iSlate, iTablet, whatever it’s gonna be called (I think iPad) is it gonna be a game changer? I certainly hope so.

At first it seems to be a ‘kindle-killer’ so we’ll be able to read books, magazines, newspapers, etc… Is there more?

Of course there is. To make this a device like the iPod/iPhone, it’s got to have some certain features that everyone’s just GOTTA HAVE! Location based services? Internet connectivity? iPhone(ish) OS and App/Music/Book store - It should have all of these things.

Facial recognition? Maybe… 2 sizes? Maybe… Black/White models? Maybe.

Well, it’s less than ten minutes to go, so I better get off the rumours and straight to the facts.
